. On-Level Playing Rule: The SATA Board has enacted the following "on-level playing" rule. If your team has less than nine (9) players, you may have no more than four (4) players rated lower than the level you are playing. If your team has 10 or more players, you may have no more than five (5) such players. To register your teams go to our local Web site and click on the TennisLink logo and then follow instructions to "create an online team." Once you have received a team number, you may either register your players yourself or you may give them the team number and have them register themselves. Players who have a compurank are bound by that compurank. As always, you may not play lower than your rating. Players who are new to the league and do not have a compurank may accurately rate themselves. When you register for your team the computer should automatically come up with your rating. All others may self-rate when asked to do so by the computer. It is permissible to play on two levels but no consideration will be given to scheduling conflicts. Please note: This system is based on the belief that people will be honest and act with integrity when self-rating. Please do not recruit people who are stronger than the level you are playing. Once match play begins, the USTA national computer system will monitor every player's match results after each match and will disqualify a player who reaches "clearly above level" status three times. Such a player will be disqualified and all points previously earned will be taken away. Please read the current SATA Rules and Regulations, posted on this website.
